Stephen started his singing career
at the tender age of 4 when he joined the Medicine
Hat Children's Choir. He realized then that
singing was what he wanted to do, so he spent the
next few years honing his craft which began with
singing lessons from the late Glenn Harder and, as
well, Joanne Collier. He also spent 10 years
participating in the Medicine Hat Rotary Music
Festival in Voice. From there, he was chosen
several times to represent Medicine Hat in Voice
and Musical Theatre. Stephen has also completed
the Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 8 level in
voice with first class honors.
Stephen is also an accomplished pianist and began
his training at the United Conservatory of Music
at the age of 4. He has completed all of the
technics courses under the instruction of Wendy
Wolcoski. Since then, Stephen himself has taught
piano at the Medicine Hat United Conservatory for
2 years.
For many years Stephen was involved with the
Technics Festival representing Western Canada in
the keyboard/piano category in which he has taken
home top honors. Stephen has performed in Calgary,
Edmonton, Richmond, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and
Kamloops. Stephen
is currently looking forward to furthering his
voice training at the MacEwan College in Edmonton,
AB., and practicing with live bands. Although his
goal is to make singing his full time career,
he would also love to produce music albums ...
